Everyone knows, motorcyclists and not, that the acronym GS, Gelande Strasse, is above all synonym of travel motorcycles, adventure. BMW knows this well, having introduced the concept in 1980, with progenitor R 80 G/S. The latest BMW R 1250 GS, F 850 ??GS, and F 750 GS models are part of the Discoverent fleet because they are the ideal means for motorcycle touring, with which to live and tackle the curves, straight roads and hairpin turns of the scenic Apulian roads.
The BMW R 1250 GS is the latest heir to its ancestor R 80 G/S, with which it shares the unique two-cylinder boxer architecture of the engine that characterizes the aesthetics of the Bavarian motorcycle. The latest evolution of this engine provides not only the liquid cooling, already appreciated on the previous R 1200 GS but also the increased power up to 136 hp. its presence in the Adventure variant has been confirmed which, thanks to characteristic elements such as the expanded fuel tank, is the globally preferred bike by tourists on two wheels, even on off-road tracks.
The same conceptual philosophy of the R 1250 GS is present in the more compact BMW F 850 ??GS, equipped with the 95 HP in-line twin-cylinder engine. Of course, it doesn't lack the Adventure configuration, always dedicated to globetrotters. In addition, the 'alter ego' model F 750 GS is in plan, also equipped with the 850 two-cylinder engine, but with reduced power of 77 hp, yet absolutely no less fun to drive.
To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Gelande Strasse, the special 40 Year Edition version has been introduced for BMW F 750 GS, F 850 ??GS, R 1250 GS, F 850 ??GS Adventure, and R 1250 GS Adventure, and all recognizable by their two-tone look. Black and yellow, inspired by the historic BMW R 100 GS. All the aforementioned BMW GS models are available for rent at Discoverent, where you can travel, have fun and discover Puglia in total safety.
